Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing a super-hydrophobic fabric by sol-gel electrochemical deposition, which belongs to the technical field of textile chemicals. First, a silane-modified hybridized sol solution containing a long hydrophobic chain is prepared, and then the fabric is deposited between a copper sheet as a reaction electrode and a platinum sheet as a counter electrode, such that hydrophobic components are orientationally arranged on the fabric, and the contact angle of the fabric can reach more than 160 degrees; thus the super-hydrophobic effect can be achieved. The method overcomes the disadvantages of a poor adhesion and cracking of a deposited film, etc. due to limited self-reaction driving force of a sol precursor; and the deposited film has an adjustable thickness, the residual liquid can be recycled by electricity, and no waste water is discharged; at the same time, a nano-diamond component is added, the friction coefficient of the surface of the deposited film can be remarkably reduced, and its external force resistance is improved; and furthermore, KNO3 and other electrolytes are not required to be added in the electrochemical process, so that the method is suitable for development of functional textiles.
