Abstract:
The present invention provides a polyrotaxane having a chemical structure in which an axial molecule represented by formula (2) passes through a cyclodextrin ring in a compound represented by formula (1). In formula (1), CD denotes a cyclodextrin ring, L2 denotes a divalent organic group, L3 denotes an ethylene group or propylene group, RA denotes a hydrogen atom or a C1-6 alkyl group, and m denotes an integer between 0 and 35. However, if L2 and N are connected by a double bond, RA is not present. In formula (2), R denotes a hydrocarbon group that is larger than the inner diameter of the cyclodextrin ring, X denotes a divalent organic group, and a denotes an integer between 100 and 1000.
