Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for transporting and storing live food for aquarium fish. This invention may be used to increase the storing life of live food consisting of sea invertebrates during long transportation thereof. The previously selected and cleaned invertebrates are introduced into vessels made of a film permeable to gases and non-permeable to water. The vessels are then filled with a living medium and sealed. When filling the vessels with the liquid medium, a dispersion material not soluble in said liquid medium is admixed, wherein said material has a particle size not exceeding 100 $g(m)m. The weight content of the dispersion material is selected in an amount between 0.1 and 1 g per 10 ml of the liquid medium.
