Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for pressurized leaching of a laterite nickel ore with phosphoric acid, which belongs to the technical field of hydrometallurgy. The method comprises the following steps: crushing a laterite nickel ore to a particle size of less than 1 mm; mixing the crushed laterite nickel ore with a phosphoric acid solution of a certain concentration to obtain an ore pulp; and injecting the ore pulp into a closed reactor, and then pressurized leaching same under the conditions of a leaching temperature of 110-150ºC and a leaching pressure of 0.2-0.5 MPa. After leaching is finished, the pulp is subjected to solid-liquid separation to obtain a leaching solution containing nickel and cobalt, and an iron phosphate product. Compared with the existing high pressure acid leaching process with a leaching temperature of 245-270ºC and a leaching pressure of 4-5 MPa, the method of the present invention can significantly reduce the leaching temperature by 100ºC or more and has a low energy consumption; the leaching pressure is just 10% or less in contrast to that of the existing high pressure acid leaching process; and there is no need for titanium alloy autoclave equipment, the investment cost is low and the process operations are convenient. The method of the present invention does not produce other acidic leaching tailings and achieves near zero discharge of laterite nickel ore leaching tailings, which is environmentally friendly.
