Abstract:
A method of preventing breakage of a carbon-made reaction container can prevent occurrence of a crack in a connecting section of the container due to thermal expansion. Carbon-made substantially circular tubular bodies are coaxially arranged in order in which the difference between the thermal expansion coefficient of an upper connecting end of one substantially circular tubular body and the thermal expansion coefficient of a lower connecting end of the other substantially circular tubular body is small, the upper and lower connecting ends are butted against each other, and the butted connecting ends are fastened together by a carbon ring the thermal expansion coefficient of which has a small difference from those of the substantially circular tubular bodies.
