Abstract:
This method of preventing building collapse and apparatus for preventing building collapse immediately deploys a structure to support the entire building only when there is a risk of the building collapsing due to a natural disaster, such as an earthquake or typhoon, in order to allow wider utilization of space at normal times, and continues to support the entire building with optimum strength while the building is shaking, so as to keep the building from collapsing. The structure (2) that can be deployed by being internally filled with gas is pre-affixed in a folded condition such that, if installed within the building, the space adjoining the entire inner wall of the building (1), or in the entire length direction or in the entire breadth direction, is completely filled by the structure (2), or, if installed outside, a bottom panel of the structure (2) adjoining the ground. By filling gas into the structure (2) only if there is a risk of building collapse, the structure (2) is deployed, increasing the thickness of the walls of the building (1) and instantly increasing earthquake resistance, and the internal pressure of the structure (2) is controlled while it shakes.
