Abstract:
Deterioration of a submarine structure is prevented by applying ultrasonic vibrations and electric fields, i.e., vibration energy and electric energy, to the submarine structure. The ultrasonic vibration unit comprising an ultrasonic vibrator made of a piezoelectric ceramic plate having electrodes on both sides, power supply lines connected to the electrodes respectively, a support member for fixing and supporting the ultrasonic vibrator and transmitting ultrasonic vibrations to the structure, and a resin covering for protection and water-proofing of the ultrasonic vibrator. This ultrasonic vibration unit is used to prevent deterioration of submarine structures.
