Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for preventing the fouling of a structure. The method for preventing the fouling of a structure comprises step (1) and steps (2a-1) to (2a-2) or step (2b): (step 1) providing an anti-fouling adhesive tape comprising a base layer (A) and an adhesive layer (A) and an easily adhering adhesive tape comprising a base layer (B) that can be easily adhered onto the adhesive layer (A) and an adhesive layer (B); (step 2a-1) adhering the easily adhering adhesive tape onto a structure having a surface which is to be prevented from being fouled; (step 2a-2) adhering the anti-fouling adhesive tape onto the easily adhering adhesive tape that has been adhered in such a manner that the lengthwise directions of these tapes become non-parallel with each other; and (step 2b) adhering at least two plies of the anti-fouling adhesive tapes and at least one ply of the easily adhering adhesive tape onto a surface of a structure which is to be prevented from being fouled in such a manner that the anti-fouling adhesive tapes do not overlap each other and the joints of the anti-fouling adhesive tapes are located on the surface of the base layer (B) of the easily adhering adhesive tape.
