Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for processing both end faces of round bars, the method being capable of efficiently performing chamfering and cutting of both end faces of the round bars with a series of operations. [Solution] While being rotated, a grindstone (5) is brought into contact with the circumferential surface of a long round bar (10a) that has been conveyed to a prescribed processing position and is rotating. The grindstone (5) is moved further toward the shaft center of the long round bar (10a) while being moved along the shaft center to perform the chamfering of one end face. Next, a cutting/chamfering process, which chamfers and cuts the other end face, is performed by moving the grindstone (5) toward the shaft center of the long round bar (10a). After the cut round bar has been removed, the process is repeated.
