Abstract:
A method for processing data, a storage apparatus, a solid state disk and a storage system. The method is applied to an SSD, and comprises: an SSD receiving a write request from a controller, wherein the write request carries data to be written; the SSD compressing the data to be written to obtain compressed data; the SSD storing the compressed data; and the SSD sending first feedback information to the controller, wherein the first feedback information indicates the remaining capacity, after storing the compressed data, of the SSD. By moving a compression function down from a controller to an SSD, the computation pressure of the controller is reduced.
