Abstract:
A method of processing a discarded seatbelt pretensioner (to which a gas producer including powder components, for tightening the seatbelt, is attached) that is installed to a seatbelt of an automobile. The method safely and efficiently processes seatbelt pretensioners from discarded automobiles etc., and recovery and reuse of useful materials are promoted with the method. The method of processing a discarded seatbelt tensioner and its accessories is characterized in that, after the accessories are removed, the seatbelt pretensioner including powder components is heated at a temperature equal to or higher than the ignition point of the powder components.
