Abstract:
A method for processing low-grade laterite nickel ore, the method comprises: 1) adding a composite additive to a laterite nickel ore raw material to obtain a mixture, and drying said mixture; 2) reduction roasting after said drying; the roasting temperature is 850-1100℃, and the roasting time is 30-90 min; 3) water-quenching the roasted sand; 4) grinding after water-quenching; 5) performing a flotation process after said grinding, wherein said flotation process comprises roughing, scavenging and cleaning, and concentrated ore is obtained after said flotation process. Also provided is a beneficiation method for processing low-grade laterite nickel ore, the beneficiation method comprises a flotation step. The method for processing low-grade laterite nickel ore employs a combination of pyro and hydro metallurgical processes, for example, a segregation roasting-flotation composite process, can use conventional rotary kilns and utilize any type of low-grade laterite nickel ore (containing about 1% nickel) to produce high-quality nickel-iron alloy (containing about 30% or more nickel).
