Abstract:
In order to provide rowers, when training on land, with movement and force sequences that are close to reality, through the simulation of movements and acting forces of a real boat, in particular during team rowing, the following steps are proposed: actual errors in the rowing technique on the rowing ergometer or in the rower are detected, processed and stored as data by means of parameters (6.1); correction values are calculated; and said values are input as control variables by means of a control device (6) for step-free resistance change in a damping system (5), wherein a control system that can be integrated in the rowing ergometer can thus be produced for training on land.
