Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing HFC-143 which is inexpensive and more efficient than conventional methods. The present invention is, specifically, a method for producing 1,1,2-trifluoroethane (HFC-143), which includes a step in which at least one species of chlorine-containing compound, 2-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane (HCFC-142) and/or 1-chloro-1,2-difluoroethane (HCFC-142a) is brought into contact with hydrogen fluoride to carry out at least one fluorination reaction, thereby producing a reaction gas including HFC-143, hydrogen chloride and hydrogen fluoride.
