Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing 1,3-butadiene, the method being capable of diminishing the formation of deposits on tools being used in the production thereof. The method for producing 1,3-butadiene of the present invention is characterized by comprising a first step, in which a starting-material gas comprising 1-butene and 2-butene, the proportion of the 2-butene to the sum of the 1-butene and the 2-butene, which is taken as 100 vol%, being 50 vol% or higher, is subjected to an oxidative dehydrogenation reaction with a gas including molecular oxygen in the presence of a metal oxide catalyst to obtain gases including 1,3-butadiene, a second step, in which the product gases obtained in the first step are cooled, and a third step, in which the product gases that have undergone the second step are separated into gases including molecular oxygen and an inert gas and the other gases including 1,3-butadiene, by selective absorption into an absorbing solvent. The method is further characterized in that the product gases cooled in the second step have a methyl vinyl ketone concentration of 0-0.03 vol%.
