Abstract:
A method for producing 2-chloroacetoacetamide, characterized in that acetoacetamide and trichloroisocyanuric acid are reacted in an ethanol solvent (wherein the amount of trichloroisocyanuric acid is 0.30–0.38 mol, inclusive, times the amount of acetoacetamide), the amount by weight of ethanol preferably being 3–10 times, inclusive, the amount of acetoacetamide.
