Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING 2-IODOSOBENZOIC ACIDS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2020/130081
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for producing iodosobenzoic acids relatively safely, without requiring any expensive reagent. The present invention is a method for producing a compound represented by formula (I) or formula (II) [in the formulas, Ar represents a benzene or the like; R1 , R21 and R22 each independently represent a halogen or the like; m represents an integer of 0 to 4 when n is 0, represents 0, 1 or 2 when n is 1, n represents 0 or 1, and r and r' each independently represent 0 or 1], the method including a step in which a compound represented by formula (III) or formula (IV) [in the formula, Q and Q' represent a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal atom and the like; x and x' represent 2+ or +; y and z represent 1 or 2; Ar, R1, X, R21, R22, m and n are as defined above] is oxidized at 0°C to 100°C in a solvent selected from water and a mixed solvent of water and an organic solvent, in the presence of at least one persulfate selected from monopotassium peroxomonosulfuric acid and oxone.
