Abstract:

The present invention provides a method for producing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene or 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane that is a precursor of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene by a reaction comprising two or three steps using at least one chlorine-containing compound selected from the group consisting of 1,1,1,2,3-pentachloropropane, 2,3-dichloro-1,1,1-trifluoropropane and 1,1,2,3-tetrachloropropene as a raw material, said method being characterized in that reaction products respectively produced in at least two steps are supplied to a single distillation apparatus to carry out the simultaneous separation of the reaction products. According to the present invention, 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene or 2-chloro-1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropane that is a precursor of 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene can be produced with high efficiency by an economically advantageous method at reduced energy cost or reduced equipment cost.
