Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a safe and economical method for producing 3,4-dichloro-1-butene by achieving an isomerization reaction of 1,4-dichloro-2-butene at low temperature in a small amount of time. The present invention pertains to a method for producing 3,4-dichloro-1-butene by an isomerization reaction of 1,4-dichloro-2-butene in the presence of trialkylamine, a monovalent copper halide, and at least one compound selected from among an ether compound represented by general formula R1-O-R2 (R1 and R2 each independently represent a C1-5 alkyl group, a C3-6 cyclic alkyl group, a C2-5 alkoxyalkyl group, or a C1-5 hydroxyalkyl group) and an ester compound represented by general formula R3-COO-R4 (R3 and R4 each independently represent a C1-4 alkyl group), wherein the total addition amount of the at least one compound selected from among the ether compound and the ester compound is 0.2-0.9 mol with respect to 1 mol of the monovalent copper halide.
