Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING 3,4-DISUBSTITUTED PYRROLIDINE DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/057093
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for commercially advantageously producing, at low cost, an optically active form of an anti-(3S,4R)-3-alkylcarbamoyl-4-hydroxy pyrrolidine derivative or an enantiomer thereof that is a key intermediate for the production of a high-quality optically active form of (3R,4S)-3-alkylaminomethyl-4-fluoropyrrolidine or an enantiomer thereof that is useful as a production intermediate for a pharmaceutical product. The present invention relates to a method for producing an optically active anti-(3S,4R)-4-hydroxy pyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid amide derivative or an enantiomer thereof by asymmetric hydrogenation of a 4-oxopyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid amide derivative represented by general formula (I) using an optically active catalyst. (In formula (I), PG1 represents a protecting group of an amino group; and R1 represents hydrogen, an optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl group or an optionally substituted C3-C8 cycloalkyl group.)
