Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing 5-aminovaleric acid from lysine using recombinant Escherichia coli strains, and more particularly, to a method for producing 5-aminovaleric acid from lysine by means of recombinant strains produced by transforming the recombinant Escherichia coli with delta-aminovaleramidase (DavA) and lysine 2-monooxygenase (DavB) genes. The recombinant Escherichia coli strains have the ability to transform lysine to produce 5-aminovaleric acid, and therefore the method of the present invention may be effectively used in techniques for the inexpensive mass production of 5-aminovaleric acid.
