Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing acrylic acid, wherein the method for producing acrylic acid comprises the steps of: feeding lactic acid to a reactor and preparing a reaction product containing acrylic acid by a dehydration reaction; feeding a reactor discharge stream containing the reaction product to a cooling tower, subjecting same to condensation, and transporting a bottom discharge stream containing the condensate to an acrylic acid purification unit while discharging un-condensed materials as a top discharge stream to feed the top discharge stream to a distillation tower; and circulating the bottom discharge stream containing acrylic acid from the distillation tower to the cooling tower and removing acetaldehyde from the top discharge stream.
