Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an acrylic rubber, comprising a coagulation step of mixing a latex of an acrylic rubber with a metal salt and a polymer flocculant to coagulate the acrylic rubber component, wherein the metal salt and the polymer flocculant are mixed in amounts of 3 to 25 parts by weight and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight, respectively, relative to 100 parts by weight of the rubber solid content in the latex, and the (metal salt)/(polymer flocculant) ratio is 10 to 500 by weight. In the method, the polymer flocculant is a condensation product produced by co-condensing (A) at least one component selected from alkyl amines and alkanol amines or a mixture of at least one component selected from alkyl amines and alkanol amines with ammonia with (B) epihalohydrin and/or (C) a specific quaternary ammonium salt compound.
