Abstract:
The present invention provides at least one of: a production method by which an AEI zeolite having a molar ratio of silica to alumina suitable for a nitrogen oxide reduction catalyst and a carrier thereof is able to be obtained with high yield by crystallization in a shorter time in comparison to conventional production methods of AEI zeolite, wherein a crystalline aluminosilicate is not used as a starting material; and a method for producing an AEI zeolite, which is promising for industrial applications. A method for producing an AEI zeolite, which is characterized by comprising a step wherein after subjecting an amorphous composition containing an amorphous silica source, an amorphous alumina source, an alkali source and water to a hydrothermal treatment, a starting material composition that is obtained by mixing the amorphous composition and an organic structure-directing agent is crystallized.
