Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing an alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon, the method including a step for generating an alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon having a methyl group from an aromatic hydrocarbon, carbon dioxide and hydrogen in the presence of supported metal catalyst particles and a crystalline aluminosilicate. The supported metal catalyst particles have a carrier and, supported on the carrier, at least one type of metal selected from the group consisting of Re, Pt, Rh, Pd, Ru and Cu.
