Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an aluminum porous body having a large surface area. The method for producing an aluminum porous body according to the present invention comprises: a step for producing an aluminum alloy cast body having a solidified structure having an α-Al phase 1, and a second phase formed continuously and intricately with the α-Al phase 1, by a directional solidification casting method; and a step for producing an aluminum porous body having a large number of voids 2 the insides of which are connected with the surface, by bringing the aluminum alloy cast body as a precursor into contact with an eluent for dissolving the second phase, and thereby eluting the second phase of the solidified structure in the precursor.
