Abstract:
Provided is the possibility of a novel application of an optical vortex. For this purpose, a method for producing amino acid crystals according to one aspect of the present invention is characterized by comprising irradiating a saturated amino acid solution with an optical vortex and thus forming amino acid crystals in the saturated amino acid solution. In this aspect, the amino acid is preferably at least one selected from among alanine, arginine, asparagine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine, valine and derivatives thereof, though not limited thereto.
