Abstract:
Disclosed is a production method for a carbodiimide which includes: a step (1) for obtaining a thiourea shown in formula (B) by reacting an aminic body shown in the formula (A) and a carbon disulfide in the presence of a catalyst and at a reaction temperature between 50ºC and 150ºC (in the formula (A), R represents an alkyl group with 1 to 6 hydrogen or carbon atoms; in the formula (B), R represents the same as in formula (A)); a step (2) for desulfurization of the obtained thiourea using a hydrochlorite in the presence of a basic compound to obtain a carbodiimide shown in formula (C) (in the formula (C), R represents the same as in formula (A)); and a step (3) to refine the obtained carbodiimide.
