Abstract:

Provided is a method for deriving a cardiac precursor cell or myocardial cell from a pluripotent stem cell. The present invention provides a method for producing a cardiac precursor cell from a pluripotent stem cell that comprises inducing the expression of Tbx6 in the pluripotent stem cell. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for producing a myocardial cell from a pluripotent stem cell that includes a step of deriving a cardiac precursor cell from the pluripotent stem cell, said step including inducing the expression of Tbx6 in the pluripotent stem cell, and a step of deriving a myocardial cell from the cardiac precursor cell derived in the aforementioned step, said step including suppressing the expression of a Tbx6 gene.
