Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARDIOMYOCYTE POPULATION FROM PLURIPOTENT STEM CELLS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/043168
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing by a simple procedure in a short time a cardiomyocyte population having little damage that can be used safely in clinical practice, using a cell population that has been induced to differentiate from pluripotent stem cells into cardiomyocytes. The present invention is a method for producing a cardiomyocyte population including (1) a step for inducing pluripotent stem cells to differentiate into cardiomyocytes, (2) a step for bringing the cell population that has been induced to differentiate into contact with a laminin selected from the group consisting of laminin α2β1γ1, laminin α2β2γ1, laminin α1β1γ1, and laminin α1β2γ1 or a fragment having the integrin binding activity of this laminin, and (3) a step for collecting the cells adhered to the laminin or the fragment.
