Abstract:
To find a method for producing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition having excellent storage stability, curability at low temperatures, finish appearance and corrosion prevention properties; and to provide a coated article having these excellent properties. A method for producing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition, which is characterized by production by means of mixing three components, namely (A) an aqueous dispersion of an epoxy resin containing an amino group, (B) an aqueous dispersion of a blocked polyisocyanate compound and (C) a pigment dispersion paste; and a method for producing a cationic electrodeposition coating composition, which is characterized in that the aqueous dispersion (B) of a blocked polyisocyanate compound contains a blocked polyisocyanate compound (b) and an emulsifying agent.
