Abstract:
A method for producing a cellulose derivative, the method being characterized by comprising reacting a reactant and cellulose or a derivative thereof in a non-uniform solid/liquid system, forming in a swollen state a cellulose derivative into which a C5 or higher long-chain organic group has been introduced, and carrying out a solid/liquid separation to obtain the cellulose derivative into which the long-chain organic group has been introduced.
