Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CHEMICALLY MODIFIED CELLULOSE FIBERS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/073810
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing chemically modified cellulose fibers, which is capable of performing fibrillation at the same time as a sulfuric acid esterification reaction. A method for producing chemically modified cellulose fibers, which comprises: a step (a) wherein cellulose fibers are treated with sulfamic acid, thereby causing the sulfamic acid and cellulose microfibers that constitute the cellulose fibers to react with each other, thereby substituting some of hydroxyl groups of the cellulose with substituents that are represented by structural formula (1) (wherein M represents a monovalent to trivalent cation); and a step (b) wherein fibrillation is performed at the same time as the step (a).
