Abstract:
This method of producing chlorine is a method of producing chlorine by using oxygen to oxidize hydrogen chloride in the presence of a catalyst in a fixed bed reactor, wherein [I] a feedstock including hydrogen chloride and oxygen are brought into contact with the catalyst at a temperature in the range of 280–370°C, and [II] the feedstock including hydrogen chloride and oxygen has an oxygen concentration of 45–75 vol%.
