Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing 1234Z from 1234E while inhibiting the formation of 245fa as a by-product. The method for producing cis-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, said method comprising contacting trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene with a catalyst, wherein the trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene is contacted with the catalyst at a reaction temperature of 200-550oC inclusive for a reaction time of 0.01-500 sec inclusive.
