Title:
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMPOSITE COATING
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2001/048266
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for producing a composite coating. The said method comprises steps of: cleaning the surface of a metal base workpiece; enclosing the workpiece with screen structure such as metal wire gauze, ceramic screen, or sponge foam screen; providing a sufficient space between the workpiece and the screen structure; supplying dispersed particles to the space; closing the inlet for supplying the particles; fixing the screen structure; and forming a composite coating, which consists of the dispersed particles, on the workpiece by hot working process such as hot-dipping brazing or hot spraying. Alternatively, the present invention provides a cast with a composite coating by casting melt metal in a cast mould, the said cast mould has a layer of dispersed particles held by a screen structure. Also, in order to improve the quality of the composite coating, the hot working process may be carried out in vacuum or under a protective atmosphere.
