Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a composite material and to a composite material, especially boards or tiles for decorative purposes, produced according to said method, whereby a base element and a transparent covering element are joined by an adhesive and the use of a not fully transparent material (embedding material) is included. The embedding material is a powder containing natural and/or artificial colouring pigments. The powder and the adhesive are mixed together and the base and covering elements are joined with the adhesive which is laced with powder. The invention provides a novel building and decorative material which is resistant with respect to physical and chemical influences and enables multiple use of materials such as natural stone or artificial pigments which were previously used in a restricted manner.
