Abstract:
The present invention provides: a method for producing a composite substrate which exhibits excellent adhesion between a ceramic substrate and a layer containing a tetrafluoroethylene polymer, while having excellent electrical characteristics, dimensional stability, heat resistance and the like; and this composite substrate. A method for producing a composite substrate, wherein a dispersion liquid which contains a liquid dispersion medium and particles of a tetrafluoroethylene polymer, and which additionally contains a polymer having an acidic group, the polymer being other than the tetrafluoroethylene polymer, or in which at least some of the tetrafluoroethylene polymer has an acidic group, is applied to the surface of a ceramic substrate and subsequently heated, thereby forming a burned product layer that contains burned products of the particles of the tetrafluoroethylene polymer so as to obtain a composite substrate that comprises the ceramic substrate and the burned product layer on the surface of the ceramic substrate.
