Abstract:
This production method includes: a first fermentation step for adding at least one microorganism selected from yeasts, Escherichia coli, and bacteria of the genus Corynebacterium to a first sugar concentrate obtained by concentrating, through a nano-filter membrane and/or reverse osmosis membrane, a sugar solution obtained using an herbaceous plant of the family Gramineae or Cucurbitaceae as the raw material, fermenting the first sugar concentrate, and performing solid-liquid separation on the resulting first fermented solution; and a second fermentation step for adding to the solid component obtained in the first fermentation step a second sugar concentrate obtained by concentrating, through a nano-filter membrane and/or reverse osmosis membrane, a sugar solution obtained using an herbaceous plant of the family Gramineae or Cucurbitaceae as the raw material, fermenting the second sugar concentrate using the microorganisms used in the first fermentation step, and performing solid-liquid separation on the resulting second fermented solution. In this production method, a compound from an herbaceous plant of the family Gramineae or Cucurbitaceae is obtained from a liquid component obtained in at least one fermentation step selected from the first fermentation step and the second fermentation step.
