Abstract:
In a state in which polyanions are present as a dopant, at least one monomer selected from thiophenes and derivatives thereof is oxidatively polymerized, by means of an oxidant, in a solvent having water as the main component. In this method of producing such a conductive polymer particle dispersion, a polystyrene sulfonic acid and/or a polystyrene sulfonic acid salt is used as the polyanions, wherein the hue of an aqueous solution of said polystyrene sulfonic acid and/or polystyrene sulfonic acid salt, dissolved in water so as to obtain a 2% concentration, is at least 10-1000, expressed as a Hazen color number measured by the APHA method.
