Abstract:
The present invention is a method for producing a copolymer characterized in that a conjugated diene monomer and a radical-polymerizable monomer other than a conjugated diene monomer are emulsion polymerized or suspension polymerized in the presence of a specific radical polymerization initiator and radical generator, and a method for producing a latex using this method. The present invention thereby provides a method for producing a copolymer that is less likely to generate byproducts by Diels-Alder reaction in the copolymerization reaction of a conjugated diene monomer and a radical-polymerizable monomer other than a conjugated diene monomer, and a method for producing a latex using this method.
