Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a method for producing a corneal endothelial cell, particularly from a neural crest stem cell originated from a parenchyma of cornea or an iPS cell, with high efficiency; a method for producing a corneal endothelial cell in a large quantity in a steady manner by inducing the differentiation of a stem cell into the corneal endothelial cell more efficiently; and a medicinal agent comprising a corneal endothelial cell. A method for inducing the differentiation of a corneal endothelial cell from a stem cell, comprising a step of culturing the stem cell in a differentiation-inducing culture medium containing a GSK3 inhibitor (preferably a GSK3β inhibitor) and retinoic acid, preferably additionally containing at least one component selected from the group consisting of TGFb2, insulin and a ROCK inhibitor; and others.
