Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for producing a cycloolefin by causing a partial hydrogenation reaction of a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon by means of hydrogen in the presence of a ruthenium catalyst in an aqueous zinc sulfate solution, wherein: the aqueous zinc sulfate solution contains dimethylamine; and the partial hydrogenation reaction is performed, while setting the nitrogen concentration in the aqueous zinc sulfate solution to 0.5 mg/L to 3,000 mg/L or setting the acetic acid concentration in the aqueous zinc sulfate solution to 1 × 10-3 mg/L to 100 mg/L.
