Abstract:

Provided is a method for producing a diester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid, the method being provided with a step of obtaining a diester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid by reacting a monoester of a polyhydric alcohol and a fatty acid in the presence of a catalyst that contains a hydrotalcite compound.
