Abstract:
A method for producing a dyed yarn having a two-tone effect, relating to the technical field of yarn-dyed fabric production, and mainly comprising pretreatment, sizing, and dyeing processes. By adding a decolorizing agent to a highly gelatinized starch size used for sizing, and carrying out size mixing and sizing according to a particular process, the decolorizing agent can be distributed on the surface of a warp. When dying the warp using an active, indigo, or vat dye, dye up-take is avoided in the area covered with the decolorizing agent, and amylase is used for desizing in the subsequent phase to obtain a dyed yarn having a two-tone effect. By weaving using the dyed yarn, a dim heather effect of a fabric can be achieved.
