Abstract:
Provided is a method for producing an electric wire having low dielectric loss. A method for producing an electric wire, which is characterized by comprising: a coating step for coating a core wire with a mixture of a high-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene (A) and a low-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene (B) that does not have fibrillating properties; a first heating step for heating the coated core wire to a temperature that is equal to or higher than the first melting point of the low-molecular-weight polytetrafluoroethylene (B); a second heating step for heating the coated core wire to 150-300°C; and a cooling step for cooling the coated core wire.
