Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a method for producing highly pure ether phospholipids free of plasmalogen glycerophospholipids by a simple operation. [Solution] This production method includes a step (a) for extracting the total lipids from a biological material by a mixed solution of a nonpolar organic solvent and a branched alcohol and a step (b) for decomposing the admixed diacyl phospholipids by causing phospholipase A1 to act on the total lipids obtained in step (a). This makes it possible to produce highly pure ether phospholipids free of plasmalogen glycerophospholipids by a simple operation.
