Abstract:
The present invention provides: an ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification product from which a film having few fisheyes can be produced; and a method for producing an ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer which is a precursor of the ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer saponification product. In the production of an ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer, the oxygen concentration in a vinyl ester monomer used is adjusted to 2 to 8 ppm during storage and/or transportation and is adjusted to less than 2 ppm during polymerization.
