Abstract:
The invention is a method for producing Eu-doped β-sialon of high emission efficiency, low variability in quality and good reproducibility by baking raw material obtained from one or both of aluminum oxide and silicon oxide, silicon nitride, aluminum nitride and a europium compound in a nitrogen atmosphere in a boron nitride container with air permeability of 0.1 cm3/cm2•s•MPa or less.
