Abstract:
The present invention efficiently produces a high-quality eutectic copper-iron alloy. The method for producing a eutectic copper-iron alloy, in which crystal grain fragments containing iron are dispersed in a copper matrix, contains: a charging step (S101) in which a first melting furnace (12) is charged with electrolytic copper and a second melting furnace (14) is charged with pure iron grain fragments; a molten copper deoxidizing step (S104) for heating the electrolytic copper to at least the melting point thereof by means of the first melting furnace, thus melting and deoxidizing the electrolytic copper; a molten iron deoxidizing step (S103) for heating the pure iron to at least the melting point thereof by means of the second melting furnace, thus melting and deoxidizing the pure iron; a molten iron transfer step (S104) for further raising the temperature of the molten iron generated by the second melting furnace, and transferring the molten iron to a primary reaction furnace (10); a molten copper transfer step (S105) for raising the temperature of the molten copper generated by the first melting furnace to a temperature that is at least the melting point of iron, and then transferring the molten copper to the primary reaction furnace; and a reaction step for causing a crystallization reaction of the copper contained in the molten copper and the iron contained in the molten iron in the primary reaction furnace.
